Q. When is registration held?
A. Spring registration opens in late December and Fall registration opens in Mid July.
Q. What equipment is needed for each player.
A. All players will need a glove, batting helmet and
USA Baseball Bat
Q. What the tryout process?
A. Tryouts are first come first serve and once on the field they typically take about 5 minutes
per player. During the tryouts players will
be
asked to hit multiple
pitched balls from a
coach(6U - underhand, 8U-14U overhand), run to first base, field popups and ground balls,
and make throws from across the infield(typically short stop to 1st base).
Q. Is KWFCAYB a COED league.
A. Yes, KWFCAYB is a COED league.
Q. How many games are played during the season?
A. A typical fall season consists of 10 games, while there are usually 12 regular season games in the
spring. Both the fall and spring
seasons usually conclude with an end-of-season tournament (Not TBall)
Q. Can my child play up or down a division?
A. Players must play in their age division . Players are not permitted to play down in a younger age
division.
Q. Is the uniform included with registration?
A. Yes, all players receive a hat, jersey, and socks. We ask that all players wear white pants for games.
Q. Are all players required to tryout?
A. All divisions have tryouts with the exception of TBall and Shetland. If you aren't able to attend
tryouts, that player will be a hat pick.
Q. Where are games and practices?
A. All practices and games are played at Forest Cove (TBall/Shetland/Pinto) and Deer Ridge Park
(Mustang/Bronco). We practice and
play games on the same lighted fields.
Q. How often do teams practice and play games?
A. Typically, each team will have two to three activities per week. Prior to games beginning each team
will practice two or three times
per week. Once games begin, each team will play a minimum of two
games per week with one practice, which is the coaches discretion.
Q. Is KWFCAYB a 501c3 charitable organization?
A. Yes, we are a 501c3 charitable organization.
